She called for a focus on “three historical coordinates,” alignment with new ESG talent cultivation goals, activation of “four educational functions,” construction of a value system for the ESG center, and implementation of “five empowerment initiatives” to build a full-cycle ESG talent development model.
Peng Liuli, Director of Grouphorse Group and General Manager of Chengdu Grouphorse Translation Co., Ltd., noted in his speech that ESG is becoming a global consensus and a new paradigm for governance, making deep collaboration between enterprises and universities especially critical. Speaking from the perspective of the enterprise, he shared insights into the promising integration of ESG and language services, and expressed strong confidence in school-enterprise cooperation for talent cultivation and market expansion. He pledged to fully integrate Grouphorse’s core ESG methodologies, high-end think tank resources, and international cooperation channels into SWPU, striving for joint development and sustained empowerment.

Yao Mingshu, Party Secretary of the School of Foreign Languages at SWPU, delivered remarks on behalf of the school. She stated that the center represents a major step in deepening industry-education integration, promoting interdisciplinary synergy, and fostering collaborative innovation. It serves as a bridge connecting the intellectual resources of universities with the practical needs of enterprises, and is dedicated to cultivating interdisciplinary talents who possess both ESG literacy aligned with international standards and strong language service capabilities—better serving the sustainable development of regional economies and societies.

The establishment of the Grouphorse ESG Center at SWPU aligns with Grouphorse Group’s broader strategy, which includes co-founding the TFSU Grouphorse ESG Industrial College with Tianjin Foreign Studies University and launching the ESG Service Center of the Guangdong General Chamber of Commerce. It marks another key milestone in Grouphorse’s nationwide efforts to advance ESG education and service systems. This center not only embodies Grouphorse’s deepening of industry-education integration and support for China’s sustainable development strategy, but also serves as a new milestone in its systemic contribution to ESG education and international communication capabilities.

Looking ahead, Grouphorse will leverage the center as a platform to further advance joint ESG standard-setting, academic collaboration, regional project implementation, and international outreach. The goal is to create a high-capacity platform that integrates research, education, communication, and service—fostering the global development and dissemination of ESG principles rooted in China.
